3D printed Robot Action Figures

Description

With these robots I am trying a new type of simple plug-balljoint. So far it works quite well. The figures are very sturdy, can swap parts nicely and offer a good range of motion. Also with this type of joints I can make smaller figures. These guys are just 14 cm (5.5 inches) tall. I will definitely make more of figures with this kind of joint in the future.

Very nice designs!

If you want an even greater range of motion, look at the ball joints used on many Transformers toys, which leave the top of the sockets open. If you did that on the shoulders, for example, the arms would be able to point straight out from the body, which seems to be the one pose these bots currently can't do.
