Description
This was my first attempt to print one of my 5-7 inch figures completely in resin. I have to admit I am only partially happy with the results. Printing the figure in resin all the way did not work since even the ABS like resin for the Form2 gets worn down by friction pretty easily. So the figure did get quite wobbly pretty fast. I then replaced the joints of the figure with ABS printed joints. This hybrid works better but I would still say an all ABS printed figures is sturdier and easier to pose. Also when compared to my acetone smoothed figures the difference in detail is not that noticeable. At least with figures that have not a lot of intricate detail. The face and hair look better in resin though. So for the future my plan is to mostly stick with ABS when it comes to larger scaled super articulated figures and only use resin for parts that have fine detail like the head.
